Course Description:

At CQB Scenarios you spend the whole day working through a variety of scenarios with role players and FX Simunition weapons, built on the procedures from our CQB and CQB Advanced courses. After each one, you go over with the instructor what worked and what didn't.

CQB Scenarios is a one-day course that builds on the basic and advanced CQB courses. No new techniques are taught here. The point is to test how prepared you are and how well you can apply what you already know in a situation you don't know in advance. You work through one building scenario after another, each one different, and after each one the instructors go over in detail what went well and what to do differently next time.

Role players and FX Simunition weapons, a force-on-force system with marking ammunition, give the training a whole new dimension. Your opponent reacts and shoots back, so you find out how you make decisions when things don't go according to plan. FX training weapons and ammunition are included in the course fee, and you don't have to buy any tactical gear.

We never have more than 8 students per instructor, so everyone gets real attention.

Who Is This Course For:

For graduates of CQB and CQB Advanced who want to test the procedures they've learned in situations close to reality and find out where they still have room to improve. It also works well as regular refresher training for those who train in buildings long-term.

What You Will Learn:

After the course you have worked through a range of varied building scenarios against role players with FX Simunition weapons. You know how you apply CQB procedures when you don't have time to think about every step. You get a detailed debrief after each scenario and leave with a clear idea of what to work on next.

Contents:

Many varied scenarios focused on tactical procedures in buildings, with a detailed debrief of each one. FX Simunition weapons, plenty of ammunition and role players add a whole new dimension to the training, bringing it very close to reality.

Required Equipment:

Comfortable civilian or tactical clothing and solid outdoor or sports shoes (both suited to the current weather and outdoor temperatures), a belt and, if you have your own, a high-quality and safe hard holster for a Glock 17 Gen4/5 worn on the strong side and covering the trigger guard (preferably kydex) and spare magazine pouches, or a plate carrier or any full ballistic protection including a helmet, AR15 magazine pouches, shooting glasses, knee pads, tactical gloves and a flashlight.

Above all, come to the course in clothing and gear that match your everyday carry or work as closely as possible, without having to buy any tactical gear. It is not required on this course.

If you would like to try modern ballistic gear, click on your chosen course date and you can rent one of the plate carriers on offer, including ballistic plates, or a top-of-the-line Galvion ballistic helmet.

Weapon:

We will provide you free of charge with our FX Simunition force-on-force training weapons: Glock 17 Gen4 or Gen5 pistols, AR15 or H&K 416 semi-automatic rifles and H&K MP5 or MP7 submachine guns. Long guns come with a sling and a magazine, pistols with a kydex belt holster.

You can bring your own AR15 or H&K MP5, and we will lend you just the FX conversion kit for it. That way you can train with the weapon you are used to (please let us know about this in advance by email). FX Simunition ammunition is included in the course fee.

Tactical Courses and the Law:

Czech law does not regulate participation in tactical courses in any way. You don't need a firearms license or any other permit, and it doesn't matter whether you are a citizen of the Czech Republic, another EU country or a country outside the EU. Czech law sets no fixed minimum age, but a minor participant must be reasonably mature, both mentally and physically. We do not recommend registering children under 15 for a course this intensive.

Timing:

Class starts at 9:00 am. Please arrive at the training site no later than 8:30–8:45 am. The course usually ends around 6:00 pm, with a 30-minute lunch break during the day.

Venue:

We run our courses at various locations across the Czech Republic. You will find the exact venue for each date in the calendar, just click on the date. For multi-day courses that use more than one location, all venues are listed there.

Please check the venue carefully before booking. The same course often runs at different locations on different dates. Every now and then a student books a date expecting it to be at our home base, the Oleško shooting range, only to find out on the day that the course is taking place in Moravia, some 300 km away. To avoid this, always click on the date before booking and check where that particular date takes place.

Language:

Czech with English translation available.

Accommodation and Food:

Accommodation is not included in the course fee, each participant arranges and pays for it themselves. There is a 30-minute lunch break, so bring food that doesn't need cooking or ordering, such as an Adventure Menu type ration, an MRE or food from home, and enough to drink for the whole day.

Where to Go Next:

You can practice building procedures with live weapons at CQB Live Fire, which also requires Dynamic Pistol 1 to 3 and Dynamic Rifle 1 and 2. Together with CQB, CQB Live Fire, Dynamic Pistol 1 and Dynamic Rifle 1, CQB Scenarios is a prerequisite for CQB NIGHT, where you clear a building in the dark with flashlights and night vision. And if you want to combine all building procedures into one week, add vehicle interventions and finish with live fire in a kill house, sign up for the seven-day CQB Week.

Online Video Course:

Before you come to CQB Scenarios, we recommend watching the free CQB Basic video course on our YouTube channel, which has over 115,000 views. It will refresh the basic CQB procedures that CQB Scenarios builds on directly, so on site you can focus fully on the realistic scenarios. Please note that the video is in Czech.
