Course Description:

The procedures from SUT Basic, Ambush and Raid come together here in one continuous exercise that starts in the morning and ends the next morning.

Small Unit Tactics Scenarios (SUTS) is the final course in our SUT series. After a short review of the most important procedures and the planning process, your unit occupies an Objective Rally Point and begins operating behind enemy lines. Then comes a series of scenarios in which, as part of a small military unit, you carry out various tasks in open and wooded terrain.

The course runs non-stop through the night, with short breaks for food and rest. We put the emphasis on planning, communication, cooperation, land navigation and how the unit reacts when the situation changes during a mission. You train with airsoft weapons, which have a longer range than FX Simunition and are better suited to the field. You can pre-order our M4 training rifle for a symbolic fee, and your own airsoft weapon is welcome. Don't forget a backpack and food and water for the whole time.

We never have more than 8 students per instructor, so everyone gets real attention, even at four in the morning.

Who Is This Course For:

For graduates of Small Unit Tactics Basic, Ambush and Raid who want to bring the skills they've learned together in complex scenarios. Expect physical and mental strain, as the course runs from 9 am until 9 am the following day.

What You Will Learn:

After the course you have reviewed the procedures from all previous SUT courses and have put the planning process into practice. You know how to occupy an Objective Rally Point with your unit and operate behind enemy lines. And you have worked through a series of scenarios in which you had to plan, communicate, navigate and react to changes, even when tired.

Contents:

Review of procedures from all previous SUT courses, planning process, occupying an Objective Rally Point and operating behind enemy lines, many scenarios.

Required Equipment:

Comfortable civilian or tactical clothing and solid outdoor or sports shoes (both suited to the current weather and outdoor temperatures), a belt, or a plate carrier or any full ballistic protection including a helmet, AR15 magazine pouches, shooting glasses, knee pads, tactical gloves and headwear. Above all, come to the course in clothing and gear that match your everyday carry or work as closely as possible, without having to buy any tactical gear. It is not required on this course. Since you will be moving through the woods with an emphasis on camouflage and blending in, match the color of your clothing and gear to the forest and open terrain as closely as possible (green, MultiCam or other woodland camouflage). We recommend bringing a backpack with food and water for the 24 hours of the course.

Weapon:

At this course we use airsoft weapons, which have a significantly longer range than the FX Simunition weapons we normally use. Participants can use our M4 airsoft training rifles, which can be pre-ordered for a symbolic fee that usually covers only servicing and maintenance of the weapon after the course. The weapon is not included in the course fee! If you have your own airsoft weapon or sling, we recommend bringing them along. You are of course welcome to use them.

Tactical Courses and the Law:

Czech law does not regulate participation in tactical courses in any way. You don't need any permit, and it doesn't matter whether you are a citizen of the Czech Republic, another EU country or a country outside the EU. Czech law sets no fixed minimum age, but a minor participant must be reasonably mature, both mentally and physically. We do not recommend registering children under 15 for a course this intensive.

Timing:

Class starts at 9:00 am. Please arrive at the venue no later than 8:30–8:45 am. The course usually ends around 9:00 am the following day. There are 30-minute breaks for food and rest during the course.

We run our courses at various locations across the Czech Republic. You will find the exact venue for each date in the calendar, just click on the date. For multi-day courses that use more than one location, all venues are listed there.

Please check the venue carefully before booking. The same course often runs at different locations on different dates. Every now and then a student books a date expecting it to be at our home base, the Oleško shooting range, only to find out on the day that the course is taking place in Moravia, some 300 km away. To avoid this, always click on the date before booking and check where that particular date takes place.

Language:

Czech with English translation available.

Accommodation and Food:

The course runs non-stop through the night in the field, so you don't need accommodation. There are 30-minute breaks at lunch and dinner, so bring food that doesn't need cooking or ordering, such as an Adventure Menu type ration, an MRE or food from home, and enough to drink for the entire course.
