Course Description:

Low Light is a specialized two-day course focused on tactical movements, weapon handling, manipulation and shooting with handgun in in diminished light conditions and darkness, essential for self-defense or duty use of individuals and teams. During this intensive two-day training, you will have a unique opportunity to understand the principles of utilizing tactical hand-held torches or weapon-mounted flashlights in low light and darkness. You will learn to harness the darkness to your advantage and acquire skills that enable effective responses and ensure safety in dark environments. Prepare for the challenge and step into the world of Low Light, where darkness becomes your ally.

This course is NOT highly recommended for complete beginners who are new to shooting. It is highly advisable to have had any quality training in the fundamentals and basic weapon handling and manipulation of a firearm. Candidates must have a well-mastered basic, advanced and safe weapon handling skills. We strongly recommend previous attandance at one of our tactical courses such as Close Quarters Battle or One Man CQB.

Contents:

Basic theory about the light and shadows, theory of the types and functions of tactical flashlight, low light tactic movements, one hand pistol techniques, using hand torches, tactics of spotlighting areas and work with light, shadows and darkness, flashlight handling techniques with a gun, changes of firing positions, work in couples, initiation to tactics in buildings (CQB) with use of the light and darkness for your advantage, scenarios, live fire shooting techniques with a pistol and handheld tactical flashlights and live fire low light scenarios.

Recommended equipment:

Tactical hand torche, comfortable civilian or tactical clothing and solid outdoor or sports shoes (both adapted to the current weather and outdoor/indoor temperatures), belt, high-quality and safe kydex or plastic hand gun holster placed on the strong hand side and covering the trigger guard, holster for the magazine, shooting goggles, hearing protection (headphones, earbuds ...), knee pads. If you intend to shoot with ammunition other than the standard 9 mm Luger or .45 ACP on this course, please also bring 5 pieces of dummy ammunition designed for dry training and weapons handling.

Nylon or similar soft pistol holsters as well as underarm holsters are very dangerous for the training as well as for the user safety in real weapon carry. Please avoid wearing them for the course and even in real life. High quality kydex holsters from RH Holsters manufacturer for Glock 17/19/26/43, Walther PDP/PPQ/PPS/Creed, H&K SFP9, S&W MP9 along with magazine pouches are available for a small fee. Appendix carry holsters are allowed but it must meet the definition of a high quality and safe kydex or plastic hand gun holster, preferably kydex holster placed on the strong hand side and covering the trigger guard.

Weapon:

Pistol with 2 magazines and 150 rounds. In cause of using subcompact pistol (G42/G43 etc) please bring at least 3 spare magazines.

If you do not own a gun or would like to try a gun other than the one you own, we are able to provide you with holsters, ammunition and other accessories. Please click on your chosen course date and you will see a full list of weapons available for that course date. In the first section you will find complete packages which always include a pistol with two magazines, kydex pistol and magazine holsters, eye and hearing protection and the number of rounds needed for the course. If you bring your own factory ammunition, you can choose to rent the gun only. A complete list of these, along with the option to order the ammunition itself, holsters, or perhaps protective equipment, can be found in the sections below.

For tactical part of the course (Day 1) you will be equipped by our FX Simunition Glock 17 GEN4/GEN5 with the holsters. FX ammunition included.

Law:

There is no need of firearms license, background check or criminal record copy to attend this course. There is no restriction on lenght of semi auto rifle barrels. You are allowed to use high capacity magazines. Silencers, weapon mounted lasers and flashlights are legal in the Czech Republic.

Timing:

Meeting at 08:30 – 08:45 am at the car park of the shooting range, the subsequent administration and preparation of equipment and materials. The beginning of class is at 09:00 and the end around 18:00.

Accommodation and food:

Accommodation is not included in the course fee, each participant provides and pays for it himself. There will be a 30 min lunchtime meal time. We recommend you bring food ration for the outdoors and enough drink for the day.
