Basic Sniper

Course Description: Basic Sniper is a three-day course focused on the fundamentals of precision rifle shooting with an optical sight. You will learn how to properly zero your rifle, use a reticle effectively, work with ballistic data, and engage targets at distances of up to 300 metres. The course also covers equipment selection, the basics of ballistics, and shooting from various positions using available support. It is suitable both for shooters who are new to precision rifle shooting and for those who want to reinforce good habits and gain a better understanding of their rifle and optic. Contents: The course begins with fundamental theory covering the selection and proper configuration of a long-range rifle, including stock adjustment, muzzle device setup, optic mounting and positioning in relation to the shooter’s body, as well as an introduction to suitable ammunition selection based on barrel twist rate and intended engagement distances. Students are introduced to essential equipment and accessories required for precision shooting before progressing to practical fundamentals behind the rifle, including correct body positioning in prone, loading and reloading procedures, optic magnification management, parallax adjustment, and consistent trigger control. Each participant then establishes a precise 100-meter zero, forming the ballistic foundation for the remainder of the course. From this baseline, students progressively move to extended distances in measured increments (e.g., 25 or 50 meters), firing groups without adjusting turrets in order to measure actual bullet drop, calculate corrections, and build their own ballistic charts. This hands-on process develops a clear understanding of trajectory behavior, click values, and elevation adjustments at varying distances. The course culminates with practical shooting from multiple supported and unsupported positions, including kneeling, standing, and tripod-assisted or improvised support setups, allowing students to apply precision principles in realistic field conditions, followed by a final competition designed to test consistency, stability, and applied ballistic knowledge. Recommended equipment: Tactical or sport clothing and footwear (this equipment should be suited for any weather conditions – goratex), ear protection, bean bag, shooting pad or tarp to isolate yourself from wet or dirty ground, sniper scarf, pen and pocket book, calculator, knife, ripcord, tape. Weapon: Sniper rifle .308/6,5/.338 caliber or equivalent with 100 rounds. In cause your weapon is not zeroed please bring more ammo with you. If you do not own a gun or would like to try a gun other than the one you own, we are able to provide you with gun with ammunition and other accessories. Please click on your chosen course date and you will see a full list of weapons available for that course date. In the first section you will find complete packages which always include a precision bolt action or semi auto rifle, hearing protection, all important equipment and gear and the number of rounds needed for the course. If you bring your own factory ammunition, you can choose to rent the gun only. A complete list of these, along with the option to order the ammunition itself, holsters, or perhaps protective equipment, can be found in the sections below. Law: There is no need of firearms license, background check or criminal record copy to attend this course. There is no restriction on lenght of semi auto rifle barrels. You are allowed to use high capacity magazines. Silencers, weapon mounted lasers and flashlights are legal in the Czech Republic. If you are a holder of the European Firearms Pass (EFP) and you have your firearm listed in it, you are allowed to temporarily bring and use it in the Czech Republic for training purposes. According to Czech law, it is sufficient to prove the purpose of your visit — for example by showing your course registration or other document confirming the reason for travel. An official invitation is not required by law. The EFP also covers carriage of a quantity of ammunition corresponding to the purpose of the trip (for example, ammunition for a competition or training). Please note that specific limits or additional requirements may apply in transit countries or by your airline, so if you plan to travel through several countries or by air, contact us and we will help prepare any documentation (such as an invitation) you may need. Timing: Meeting at 08:30 – 08:45 am at the car park of the shooting range, the subsequent administration and preparation of equipment and materials. The beginning of class is at 09:00 and the end around 18:00. Precision Sniper

Course Description: Precision Sniper builds on the skills learned in the Basic Sniper course and focuses on precision shooting in situations where ideal shooting positions or conditions are not available. The course covers engaging small and unconventional targets, shooting at angles, operating the rifle from unconventional positions, and solving shooting problems that require a high degree of precision and weapon control. It develops the fundamentals learned in the basic course and demonstrates how to apply them outside standard shooting conditions. Contents: This module focuses on developing the ability to deliver a single, precise first-round hit on small, partially obscured, irregular, or unusually shaped targets across varying distances, including both very short and extended ranges. Students train to engage targets from difficult and non-standard shooting positions, utilizing improvised support and adapting body mechanics to unstable environments. The course further develops competence in shooting with inclined or rotated rifles, including significant cant angles and unconventional weapon orientations, as well as engaging angled targets and targets presented under atypical conditions. The primary objective is to build confidence and technical mastery in achieving consistent one-shot accuracy regardless of target geometry, distance, or shooting platform constraints. The course also includes shooting from unconventional positions, addressing challenges specific to urban sniper operations, and scenario-based exercises reflecting realistic conditions. Contents: This two-day module focuses on the establishment of concealed shooting and observation positions within urban environments, including buildings and vehicles. Students develop practical camouflage techniques adapted to structural elements such as windows, wall openings, interior spaces, and urban furniture, while learning to blend naturally into the surrounding environment. The training further addresses urban movement for snipers, counter-sniper awareness and detection techniques, situation sketching, and practical distance estimation. Emphasis is placed on understanding how traditional range shooting positions differ from real-world applications and how to adapt body positioning and rifle setup to architectural constraints.
