Dynamic Rifle 4

Course Description: Dynamic Rifle 4 focuses on precise rifle zeroing and effective engagement of targets at distances of up to 300 metres. Students will gain a better understanding of bullet behaviour at varying distances, learn how to properly set up their rifle, and make effective use of shooting positions, support, and cover to achieve accurate hits. The course builds on skills developed in previous levels and expands them into distances where precision, stability, and proper weapon handling become increasingly important. Contents: Introduction of instructors and safety instructions, students then establish a precise zero appropriate to their individual rifle and ammunition setup, creating a consistent ballistic baseline, which is subsequently verified across multiple distances such as 10, 25, 50, 100, 150, 200, and 300 meters in order to understand trajectory behavior, holdovers, and real point-of-impact shift. Building on this foundation, the training develops advanced techniques of extended-distance shooting with a semi-automatic fighting rifle using iron sights, red dot optics, or magnifiers, emphasizing both static and dynamic engagements without the use of precision sniper equipment such as bipods or high-magnification optics, and culminating in a comprehensive final shooting exercise integrating accuracy, stability, movement, and time pressure. Recommended equipment: Marker, paper and pencil (for notes; you can also use mobile phone), ruler. Comfortable civilian or tactical clothing and solid outdoor or sports shoes (both adapted to the current weather and outdoor temperatures), belt, shooting goggles, hearing protection (headphones, earbuds ...) and magazines holster or plate carrier with the pouches for the magazines. If you intend to shoot with ammunition other than the standard 9 mm Luger, .223 Rem, 5.56 NATO or 7,62x39 on this course, please also bring 5 pieces of dummy ammunition designed for dry training and weapon handling. You need to know the ballistic coefficient for the cartridges you will use and the height of the sight for the weapon. The ballistic coefficient is denoted BC and should be listed on the manufacturer's website. There are two ballistic coefficients, G1 and (newer) G7, so you also need to know what type the one you found is. Measure the height of the sight from the center of the chamber to the center of the glass or the top edge of the front sight. Weapon: Semi rifle + 2 magazines and 300 rounds. 9 mm rifles and carbines are not recommended. If you do not own a gun or would like to try a gun other than the one you own, we are able to provide you with gun with ammunition and other accessories.
