Course Description:

Hand to Hand Combat & Gun Retention is a course focused on close-quarters fighting while carrying a firearm and operating in tactical or duty equipment. The training addresses situations involving physical contact with an opponent at extremely short distances, attempts to disarm the defender, edged weapon attacks, and physical confrontations while carrying either a handgun or a rifle. Students will learn how to protect their weapon from being taken, maintain control during a physical confrontation, and safely transition back to a controlled weapons-based response when the situation requires it. Emphasis is placed on simple, functional, and stress-resistant techniques that can be applied in real-world situations.

Contents:

Fundamentals of contact-distance combat while wearing tactical gear, adapted striking and kicking techniques under equipment load, balance and body mechanics in ballistic armor, distance management and spatial control, pistol and rifle retention techniques against weapon grabs, defensive response to disarm attempts, firearm strikes as a last-resort tool, defense against close-range edged weapon attacks, principles of disarming an armed opponent, transition from physical engagement back to controlled firearm posture, scenario-based training simulating realistic close-contact assaults.

Recommended equipment:

Tactical gear (including ballistic vest and helmet if you like), sport shoes with pale sole. But just simply bring the clothing or duty gear based on your civilian or Law Enforcement/Military daily usage. No need to buy expensive tactical gear just for course purposes.
