Course Description:

The NVGTAC (Night Vision Tactics) course is an intensive two-day firearms and tactical program focused on operating effectively in low-light and no-light environments using night vision devices. The training integrates shooting, movement, and small-unit tactics across indoor structures, forested areas, and open terrain. 

Participants develop the ability to safely and efficiently employ night vision equipment in dynamic operational contexts, including team-based maneuver, reaction to contact, and structured building entry. The course emphasizes disciplined communication, navigation, identification, and coordination under reduced visibility conditions.

Contents:

Day 1 (Daytime): Indoor range training focused on night vision shooting techniques, weapon handling under NVD use, illumination management, and safety procedures. 

Day 1 (Night): Refresher of small unit tactics (SUT); NVG-based patrol movement; fire team, squad, and detachment-level procedures; reaction to contact and enemy attack; ambush and raid planning and execution; progressive night scenarios integrating movement and engagement. 

Day 2: Refresher of key CQB techniques adapted for NVG operations; theory of night vision devices and setup optimization; approach to structures under night conditions; breaching procedures; staircase, hallway, doorway and opening clearing; multi-team coordination during building clearing; identification and management of threats and non-threat individuals; scenario-based training using FX Simunition firearms.

Recommended equipment:

Binocular or monocular NVG, weapon mounted IR laser, weapon mounted tactical flashlight, comfortable civilian or tactical clothing or combat uniform and solid outdoor or duty footwear (both adapted to the current weather and outdoor temperatures), belt, you can also bring your own kydex or plastic hand gun holster placed on the strong hand side and covering the trigger guard for Glock 17 GEN4/GEN5, holster for spare magazine, plate carrier or any complete ballistic protection with an AR15 magazine poches, helmet, shooting goggles, kneepads, tactical gloves and gun mounted flashlight. If you do not have anything from mentioned gear, bring just only the clothing or duty gear based on your civilian or Law Enforcement/Military daily usage. No need to buy expensive tactical gear just for course purposes. This is not compulsory on this course. If you intend to shoot with ammunition other than the standard 223 Rem, 7,62x39, 9 mm Luger or .45 ACP on this course, please also bring 5 pieces of dummy ammunition designed for dry training and weapons handling.

If you would like to try out modern or you do not have your own night vision goggles, IR lasers, gun mounted flashlights, ballistic gear and other equipment, we are able to provide all mentioned gear for this class. Nylon or similar soft pistol holsters as well as underarm holsters are very dangerous for the training as well as for the user safety in real weapon carry. Please avoid wearing them for the course and even in real life. High quality kydex holsters from RH Holsters manufacturer for Glock 17/19/26/43, Walther PDP/PPQ/PPS/Creed, H&K SFP9, S&W MP9 along with magazine pouches are available for a small fee. Appendix carry holsters are allowed but it must meet the definition of a high quality and safe kydex or plastic hand gun holster, preferably kydex holster placed on the strong hand side and covering the trigger guard.

Weapon:

Pistol with 2 magazines and 200 rounds + Rifle with 2 magazines and 200 rounds (We recommend You to bring more ammo) + holsters and pouches for the magazines. In cause of using subcompact pistol (G42/G43 etc) please bring at least 3 spare magazines.

If you do not own a guns or would like to try a gun other than the one you own, we are able to provide you with gun with ammunition and other accessories. Please click on your chosen course date and you will see a full list of weapons available for that course date. In the first section you will find complete packages which always include a rifle or pistol with two magazines, kydex pistol and/or magazine holster, eye and hearing protection and the number of rounds needed for the course. If you bring your own factory ammunition, you can choose to rent the gun only. A complete list of these, along with the option to order the ammunition itself, holsters, or perhaps protective equipment, can be found in the sections below.

Law:

There is no need of firearms license, background check or criminal record copy to attend this course. There is no restriction on lenght of semi auto rifle barrels. You are allowed to use high capacity magazines. Silencers, weapon mounted lasers and flashlights are legal in the Czech Republic.

Timing:

Meeting at 08:30 – 08:45 am at the car park of the training site/shooting range, the subsequent administration and preparation of equipment and materials. The beginning of class is at 09:00 and the end of the fisrt day around 24:00. On second day the start of the class will be at 10:00 am and end around 16:00 hr.

Accommodation and food:

Accommodation is not included in the course fee, each participant provides and pays for it himself. There will be a 30 min lunchtime meal time. We recommend you bring food ration for the outdoors and enough drink for the day.
